Tom Green raises cancer awareness
By JIM SLOTEK
Not many cancer patients would have to show the surgery scar on their testicle to an Entertainment Tonight reporter to make them believe they were sick.

But not many cancer patients are Tom Green. Green's friend Mike Bullard was on the phone a week ago with Howard Lapides, manager to both Green and Bullard, and they were talking over the as-yet-unannounced news. "I said everybody's going to think it is a joke," says Bullard. "The press are still mad about that business in Ottawa" (when Green and Monica Lewinsky held a nonsensical press conference declaring Ottawa the Fabric Capital of the Universe).

But only a couple of the several hundred messages from fans on www.tomgreen.com dare mention the possibility of a joke (and even they admit it's probably just wishful thinking).

In the meantime, he's still touting Tom Green's Nuts Cancer Foundation which "hopes" to raise $10,000.

"Young men -- go to the bathroom and feel your testicles," he told Entertainment Tonight. "Every day when you wake up in the morning, in the shower, feel your testicles. Feel your testicles as much as you possibly can."
