TV Show: Tom Green

Tom Green lands new TV series
By JAM! TV

Who says it's not easy being Green?

After the critical and commercial failure of his acting/directing debut "Freddy Got Fingered," Ottawa-born comedian Tom Green has landed on his feet at The WB Network, where he is developing a variety series set amid the world of skateboarding.

The Zap2it.com website reports that the series will include episodes of well-known skateboarding personalities in action around the world. There will also be studio segments, and Green's longtime sidekick Phil Giroux will serve as a writer on the show.

"The show will be focusing not only on the sport itself, but also lifestyle, the culture and the music of skateboarding," Green told The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, Green's next foray on the big screen will be "The Promise," about a man who turns to a life of crime to pay for his niece's first year at Stanford University. Jason Lee ("Almost Famous"), Dennis Farina ("Sidewalks Of New York"), Chris Penn ("Reservoir Dogs"), and Leslie Mann ("Big Daddy") star in the film, which is being directed by Kids In The Hall vet Bruce McCulloch.
