Ottawa native comic and movie star Tom Green was in the hot seat yesterday, as the ladies of ABC's The View grilled him on everything from his divorce from actress Drew Barrymore, his battle with testicular cancer and his over-the-top antics, which haven't always amused his parents here in Ottawa.

"At one point, my father phoned MTV, threatening to sue the show," Green told the talk show, co-hosted by several women, including Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Lisa Ling.

Of his divorce from Barrymore after just weeks of marriage, Green described the situation as "complicated." And of his very public battle with testicular cancer, Green joked with the audience, "The right testicle has grown back. It's like a worm, you cut off one end and the other end grows back."

Green's promoting his upcoming movie Stealing Harvard, where he plays Lazy Nitwit, the friend of a man who goes on a crime spree to keep his promise to pay his niece's way through college.
