Is Ottawa's original goofy guy moving from new angel to old?

The latest issue of the supermarket tabloid the National Enquirer reports Ottawa comic shocker Tom Green, who is divorced from Charlie's Angels film star Drew Barrymore, has been dating none other than original television "Angel" Farrah Fawcett.

The story quotes an unnamed "close friend" as saying the pair -- she 57, he 32 -- hit it off after meeting at a celebrity poker event, had dinner and have been dating steadily ever since.

"Farrah's romance with Tom Green was a shock to say the least," said the friend. "They play cards together. He makes her dinner. Stranger things have happened."

But don't start calling Ryan O'Neal's ex and Green the new Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher just yet.

When contacted yesterday in California, Green's publicist yesterday said the Enquirer report on the May-December romance is total bunk.

"The story is completely fabricated and inaccurate," said Ann Gurrola, via e-mail. "Tom is not dating Farrah Fawcett."

Regardless of who he is or isn't dating, the Freddy Got Fingered star has a history of bizarre publicity stunts, some of which involve his love life.

There was his quickie marriage to Barrymore, which he joked about frequently on his now-defunct MTV program The New Tom Green Show.

Before that, he brought Monica Lewinsky home to Ottawa to promote some of her handbags.

In November, former Hustler writer Scott Fayner linked Green to California gubernatorial hopeful Marey Carey in a piece published on the porn website www.lukeford.com.

Green also used his MTV show and Yahoo! Personals last fall to look for love online as a gag for his show.
