HOLLYWOOD ó Okay, so we sort of get the Mona Lisa smile (at least the painting, not necessarily the Julia Roberts movie).
But Ugly Bettyís?
Eyebrows were raised earlier this week when it was announced Lloydís, the British insurance firm, had insured Ugly Betty star America Ferreraís smile for a cool $10 million.
Not that hers isnít a big, warm, toothsome smile, but it seemed like an odd choice, even though the policy was bought by Aqua Fresh White Trays, a tooth-whitening product, in support of a charity campaign.
The practice of insuring famous body parts as a promotional gimmick goes all the way back to Marlene Dietrichís gams and Liberaceís hands, and over the years has also been extended to Entertainment Tonightís Mary Hartís legs (for a million bucks), Keith Richardís fingers and even Dolly Partonís breasts ($600,000, but unsure whether that was for the pair or apiece).
Jennifer Lopezís backside was once said to be on that list, but those reports proved to be unfounded.
Still, with all the possibilities out there ó Sanjaya Malakarís hair, Jay Lenoís chin, Rosie OíDonnellís mouth ó it would seem like Betty isnít necessarily the best bet.
