Nina Dobrev is ready to escape the tomb.

With a new episode of The Vampire Diaries airing Thursday on CW and A, maybe this is the week the Canadian actress finally breaks free!

Dobrev plays two roles on The Vampire Diaries: Evil vampire Katherine and sweet human Elena. But Katherine has been trapped in a tomb lately, and Dobrev has had enough.

"I will tell you that I am getting kind of tomb-crazy myself," Dobrev said.

"I've been in the same wardrobe for six episodes. Every time I shoot that, they have to actually make my hair dirty, and mess it up. I feel dirty and gross and I want a shower. I'm ready to come out of the tomb."

So they put real dirt in your hair?

"Yeah, they do," Dobrev said. "They put dirt in and they tease it.

"When vampires are desiccating and they don't have blood, they start to look sickly and like they're dying. Usually as actors, we always want to look our best. We're on national television!

"But when the character calls for it, you draw dark circles under the eyes."
