Walken heading back to Broadway

Christopher Walken is returning to Broadway in black comedy A Behanding In Spokane, 10 years after he last starred onstage in New York.

The Oscar winner will star alongside Anthony Mackie and Sam Rockwell in the play, about a man who goes in search of his missing hand, which will begin previews on 15 February.

Walken last performed on the New York stage in the 2000 musical James Joyce's The Dead. He also appeared in several theatre revivals early on in his career, including Shakespeare classic The Merchant of Venice.
