Fans of famous musicals might recognize Toronto's Monique Lund, as she's appeared in everything from Cats at Massey Hall to the Broadway touring production of Mama Mia! But the Lord Of The Rings ensemble member didn't quite manage to snag a role as her favourite type of Middle-earth resident.
"I'm not a Hobbit, much to my disappointment," said the Charlottetown, PEI native. "I love the costumes. They're cute."
In addition to her variety of ensemble roles, the 38-year-old wife and mother plays Elranion, the first elf encountered by our gobsmacked quartet of heroic Hobbits after they set out from the Shire.
And if you think the Hobbits were shocked to see an elf, wait'll audiences see this epic-scale production, said Lund: "It's gonna knock peoples' socks off."
