WINNIPEG -- Classical ballet, a funky-exotic East Indian love story, tragic romance, high-energy sexual fusion and a splash of sweet, playful colour -- the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's season finale is a full banquet.

There's something for everyone here but, in the end, the quintet of works on the Inspired by Love program may be too much of a good thing. By the time Mark Godden's new ballet As Above, So Below closes the show after a second intermission, audiences may have already filled up on the preceding dance fare.
