Play Review: Brothers Beef
Story weak link in satire
There are body slams and sleeper holds, a slimy promoter, a slinky
seductress, a wily old trainer and a bone-rattling heap of greed, fame,
envy,
jealousy and betrayal.
In fact, The Brothers Beef, which opened last night at the Old
Factory
Theatre, contains everything you'd expect in an over-the-top satire of
professional wrestling. And that's the root of its problems.
