Play Review: Clout

Political Clout lacks
If the word "clout" conjures images of being hit up alongside the head, then you've got a pretty good sense of what it's like to sit through the new play of that name.

Clout, written by David Young and directed by Richard Rose, opened at the Factory Theatre on Thursday night, a co-production of the host theatre, Rose's Necessary Angel Theatre Company and Ottawa's National Arts Centre, where the work has already played. (And where it must have utterly bemused audiences imbued with the sense that they reside in the political navel of the nation.)
