Strange brew makes for satisfying theatre offering
EDMONTON -- Evelyn Strange (Jane Spidell) makes this great entrance right out of a '50s film noir.

As the ominous strains of Wagner's Siegfried echo through the hall, she slowly appears out of the night in the back of a box in the Grand Tier of the Metropolitan opera - dressed in a Bogart trenchcoat, looking straight ahead, her face a blank mask.
