Winnipeg's flood of 1997 is the backdrop for Winnipeg playwright Ian Ross's exploration of racial identity, romance and manners.
Nature is taking its course in more ways than one: as the river rises, brothers Evan (Levi Aguonie) and Chester (Herbie Barnes) have been cajoled into sandbag duty by their dad Saul (Michael Lawrenchuk). Ironically, these men of humble means find themselves working to save the expensive house of a pair of upper crust white chicks, Dawn (Anne Ross) and her mother Vi (Patricia Hunter).
