Play Review: Idomeneo King Of Crete
Wonderful Mozart
TORONTO -- Hearing Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Idomeneo, King Of Crete, is likely to fill you with wonder.
And well it should. Composed in the late 18th century, when Mozart was 24, it is filled with superb music, and as served up by the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra and a vocally impressive cast at the Hummingbird Centre, where it opened Saturday night, it sits on the ear like silk.
