Play Review: MoM Dad Im Living With A White Girl
Mom, Dad a culture-clash comedy
WINNIPEG -- The stage of Prairie Theatre Exchange is lit with Chinese lanterns and decorated with traditional Chinese statuary and huge screens. On an upper level, percussionist Peter Moller stars things off with a little concert of traditional-sounding Chinese music, punctuated here and there with intrusive western sounds -- a bicycle horn, a slide whistle.
It's a fitting introduction to the comic cultural clash of Marty Chan's play Mom, Dad, I'm Living With a White Girl.
