Play Review: Night Songs
All talk, no song
TORONTO -- On the surface, it may look as if they've launched the du Maurier World Stage Preview edition with a rather lacklustre production of a rather lacklustre play.
Certainly, there is little in the way of conventional theatrical excitement in the Royal Court production of Jon Fosse's Nightsongs (translated by Gregory Motton), which kicked off the five week preview to next year's festival Wednesday night at Harbourfront's du Maurier Theatre Centre.
