TORONTO -- Just in case the photos out of Iraq haven't driven it home, the latest edition of Harbourfront's du Maurier World Stage Festival opened Tuesday night with a haunting reminder of the devastating effect wars can have on children.
That The Notebook -- from Belgium's De Onderneming and KunstenFestivalDesArts -- manages to be a powerful piece of theatre too is no mere coincidence.
