Play Review: Picnic
Hungers aroused in tantalizing Picnic
NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE -- Forget the devilled eggs, the fried chicken, the cole slaw and the apple pie.
When the Shaw Festival invites you to share a picnic, they're talking fare of a vastly different kind. In short, they're talking William Inge's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Picnic, inspiration for the 1955 movie of the same name, revived on the stage of the Court House Theatre, where it opened Saturday.
