Play Review: Side Man
It's all that jazz
TORONTO -- If one is prepared to listen, jazz is full of haunting riffs and musical phrases capable of capturing half-formed visions of other places, other times, in the space of a single heartbeat.
That makes it more than fair, it seems to me, to label Warren Leight's Tony Award-winning Side Man a jazz play, instead of merely a play about the jazz world.
