STRATFORD -- It takes someone far more schooled in animal husbandry than most anyone I know to look at a cygnet and foresee The Swanne.
Still, in three hours plus in the Stratford Festival's new Studio Theatre on Wednesday night, it was tough not to be impressed by at least some aspects of The Swanne, even though its opening chapter -- The Swanne: George III, The Death Of Cupid -- represents little more than a mere crack in the egg of playwright/director Peter Hinton's massively ambitious project.
