Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in "Men In Black 3."

Taken together, the gaggle of insane aliens in the Men in Black series is one of the great reasons to watch Barry Sonnenfeld's trilogy. Their fantastical design is a singular and sensational pleasure. Plus the alien thing dovetails nicely into the bickering buddies story of Will Smith's Agent J and Tommy Lee Jones' Agent K.

So kudos to director Sonnenfeld for collaborating with legendary makeup and special effects wizard Rick Baker on all three MIB movies. Baker is a bloody genius.

"When people use words like 'legend' when referring to me," the 61-year-old Baker says awkwardly about his place in Hollywood, "I think: 'How can that be?'"
